Top 3 things about working at Focus Music
1.  The wonderful music teachers who love what they do and share their passion for music with their students.
2. The fabulous parents and students who visit the office.
3. My 2 girls are now part of the environment and visit mum on Wednesday and are learning piano and ukulele.
Something you may get asked a lot here at Focus Music?
Can I play an instrument!  Sadly not but I absolutely love all forms of music and what it brings your life.  I am very happy my kids wanted to learn an instrument and are progressing so well.
Something we didn’t know about you?
I trekked to Base Camp Everest in 2008 with my brother.  Hard and rewarding

Drums

Felix Lemann

Felix started playing drums and percussion in primary school and is currently in third year of the Bachelor of Music (Jazz) at WAAPA. Felix is currently the drummer for Wayjo’s (WA Youth Jazz Orchestra) Tuesday Night Orchestra and is also pre-recording sessions for the WAAPA musical A Chorus Line.

Felix likes to get an understanding for a student’s musical interests. He finds students are more engaged when we can put theory and technical work into playing their favourite songs.

Felix uses 2 drum kits in his lessons so he can play alongside the student, allowing them to get a sense for how an exercise should sound. This also helps the student keep good time!

Importantly, Felix’s lessons are always FUN which helps keep students engaged and enjoying themselves (which is what playing music all about!).
